The Water Mill Museum's 31st Annual Quilt Show and Sale will be held from Friday. August 17th through Sunday. September 4th.
American quilts of any design, size or age are welcome at the Museum show, whether for display or for sale.
If you would like to submit several quilts for sale or display, please complete a registration form for EACH quilt. Fill in all information and send the registration forms by July 30th to:
Water Mill Museum Quilt Show
PO Box 63
Water Mill, NY 11976
Quilt drop off is Monday, August 14th between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. If you have a number of quilts
to check in, please allow yourself enough time to have us register your quilts and give you your receipts.
Quilts must remain at the Museum for the duration of the show (unless they are sold), and must be picked up on Monday, September 5th between 9 am and 1 pm. If this time period does not work for you, please let us know so that alternate arrangements can be made. Quilts cannot remain at the Museum after September 5th.
The museum staff will do their best to prominently display quilts from everyone entering our show. Priority of display will be given to pieces not previously submitted.
The Museum's commission will be 25% of sales. If you intend to
sell your quilt(s), remember to include the commission in your asking price. For example, if the quilt is sold for $100.00, the seller will receive $75.00. In order to process commission payments, we must have a completed W-9 form from each seller with sales totaling $600.00 or more. A 1099-MISC will be issued for the income. For your convenience, a W-9 form is attached. Please complete the form and submit it on August 15th when you bring your quilts.
If you have questions, please call Joani Wilson, the Museum manager at 631-726-4625 or Eileen Noonan at 631-726-4899. This information and our registration form is available to download below.
The success of our 31st Annual Quilt Show depends greatly on volunteers. Hosts or hostesses are needed to assist the
Museum Staff with showing, protecting and selling the quilts. Your quilting knowledge will be a tremendous asset, but is not a requirement. If you can offer your help, please call the Museum to be placed on the schedule.
Thank you for your continued participation in the Water Mill Museum's Quilt Show. We look forward to seeing you
during the show.
