An Interactive Program for Kids

Meet “Uncle Fred” — Frederick Benedict, a descendant of the family who owned the mill and whose workshop is now part of the Water Mill Museum. Fred was a photographer, game and puzzle maker, weather-vane maker, collector of unusual objects, popcorn roaster, checkers player and student of American history.

Explore Fred’s workshop, recreate some of his games and puzzles, and discover more about Fred and the people he admired.
